Greeting from Guatemala

The last quarter of 2024 was bustling! We had some amazing people from STBC visit us here in Guatemala and we served alongside each other, seeing God working in a multitude of ways. At Campos de Sueños, we saw friends reconnect after many years of not being able to see each other. We served with the feeding program and visited homes of church members and got to pray together, laugh, cry, and enjoy some delicious, fresh tortillas. One group provided a goal setting seminar for the ministry. They guided the staff to assess the impact they are making and were encouraged to dream and set goals for the future of their community and ministry. It was beautiful to see each person light up and feel their voice was heard, getting excited to continue serving in the coming years.

We also had a great group come to serve for a few days with Stephen and LeeAnne Griffin and their new ministry Nueva Vida. This ministry serves a homeless community, and it is beautiful to see how God is opening doors and opportunities for them to show kindness, respect, and love to all who pass through their doors. We were able to assist them in getting one of their new properties painted and we also got to spend time with some of their guys, serving breakfast and playing lots of games with them too.

There are countless opportunities and needs coming up in 2025 for these ministries. I invite you to gather a group of friends, your Bible study group, or your family, and see first-hand how the Lord is working here in Guatemala. We already have a few groups signed up for mission trips this year and there is always room for more! It is an absolute joy and blessing for us to receive visits from our church family where we can work together towards achieving the mission of advancing the gospel in Guatemala and throughout the world. For more information on how you can participate in a mission trip, please send me an email at annieinguatemala@gmail.com. I hope to see you down here soon!
