Renewing Your Mind in the HOPE of the Lord

Do you ever feel like you’ve lost focus? Like one minute you’re steady, sure, even confident in what the Lord has for you, and then the next you’re off track and unsure how you even got there? I’ve been there. In my own strength, I try to take control, and that’s usually when everything starts to feel heavy. Uncertainty creeps in, clarity fades, and I’m left wondering, Wait a minute…what happened?

If you’ve felt that too, I want you to know you’re not alone.

In those moments, I’ve learned to stop and return to what’s true. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

When we focus on the truths of God and anchor our hope in the Lord, not in ourselves or our circumstances, something beautiful happens. He renews our strength! He lifts our heads. He brings clarity when we’re confused and steadiness when we feel shaky. That’s not just poetic talk. It’s real. I’ve felt it. How Mighty is our Lord that He does that for us? So, how do we get there? It’s simple.

Stop what you’re doing, pause, and turn your attention back to Jesus. Don’t try to fix everything, don’t try to figure it all out, simply acknowledge Him. Sounds easy, right? Read scripture and find rest in TRUTH. Trust that His Word is true even if your world feels upside down. When we do that, our minds begin to be renewed. That renewal realigns us. It reminds us of who we are and Whose we are.

So, if today you’re feeling tired, uncertain, or simply in need of a fresh start, then stop what you’re doing! Your help, your clarity, and your renewal are found IN Him. I encourage you to pause. Turn to God. Talk to Him honestly about where you are and what you’re feeling. Ask boldly for what you need. Then choose to trust Him, and worship while you wait. He is faithful, and He meets us right where we are. We can find rest in that.
