Falls Creek: Knowing God, Loving God, Sharing God
In April I shared that Falls Creek is a place that profoundly shaped my faith and calling to ministry. My prayer is that through this year’s “Set Apart” theme, students will encounter God, discover His purpose for their lives, and be transformed as they learn to live differently for Christ. We want camp to be a life-changing opportunity for students to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ. This year, we are focusing and want you to pray alongside us for three simple goals: students to know God, students to love God, and students to share God.
First, we want students to know God. In a world filled with a lot of voices and distractions, students need a clear understanding of who God is and what He has done for them through Jesus Christ. Through worship, Bible study, and our services during the week, pray that our students will encounter God’s truth and develop a stronger foundation for their faith.
Second, we want students to love God. Knowing about God is important, but the Christian life is about more than information. It’s about real relationship. As students spend time in God’s Word and worship alongside their peers, pray their hearts will be drawn closer to Him. Jesus taught that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We want students to experience the joy that comes from living in that love.
Finally, we want students to share God. A growing faith naturally overflows into the lives of others. Pray that our students leave Falls Creek with a renewed passion to tell their friends, classmates, teammates, and family members about the hope they have found in Christ. Whether through conversations or simply living differently, students can be powerful witnesses for the Gospel. Please join us in praying that God would use Falls Creek (June 15-19) to help students know Him more deeply, love Him more fully, and share Him more boldly!
