Abundantly Blessed

Paul’s teaching and charge to Timothy is challenging, as he writes in 2 Timothy 4:1-5, “In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.”

We are incredibly blessed to serve our Lord under the leadership of Pastor Eric Costanzo. Eric has navigated our church through both joyful and trying seasons, always committing himself to the charge Paul gave to Timothy and leading by example. As we celebrate Eric, Rebecca, Adin, Noah, Abigail, and Kynzleigh today, let’s express our thankfulness not only for the commitment they’ve made to our church and to the Lord and His ministry, but also for how they’ve encouraged, comforted, befriended, taught, and inspired us personally over the last 10 years. Thank you, Eric! It’s a joy to know and serve with you.

“I have served on the Personnel Committee several times in my 40 years at STBC. Many times, the tenures have been turbulent. I have always known Eric was an excellent expositor of God’s Word, but he has become an extremely effective leader and manager. His leadership has allowed the church to navigate and thrive through any storm. I see a bright future for the next 10 years.” ~ Mark Meese, Personnel Chair

“Thank you, Eric, for your leadership and steady scriptural guidance. You lead our church with wisdom, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose while being a source of encouragement, truth, and strength. We are deeply grateful for you, your heart, and your continued calling to serve.” ~Ann Jenkins, Personnel Committee
