Host International Students for Thanksgiving
This year our church family has the opportunity to show international students from the Spartan Flight School the love of God and what Thanksgiving is all about. We are looking for families to host two or more students for Thanksgiving. Students can be picked up from the church on Thanksgiving Day at 1:00 p.m. (back parking lot) where they will meet their host family and then be taken back to the church after dinner at 6:00 p.m. Please contact the church office, Joe Donelson (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Terry Hobbs (email@example.com) if you have questions or would like to volunteer to host students by Sunday, November 24. Those participating should plan to attend a brief meeting next Sunday, November 24 at 1:30 p.m. in the church Conference Room about how to best minister to international students. Let’s show the love of Jesus to those He has brought to our city.
Our mission is “Sharing the Good News about Jesus in our community and around the world.” We have several local, domestic, and international mission trips, partnerships, and giving opportunities as a part of the ministries of our church here at South Tulsa.
Each year many of our members travel to other areas of the world to minister. International missions is at the heart of our church family. We believe that every church member should either go, give, or pray, enabling the gospel to be taken around the world. We send teams to work with our current partners in: East Asia, Europe, Guatemala, and Belize. We are also currently exploring partnerships in the Middle East, India, and North America.
