HIS HEART...
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I was sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
Matthew 25:35-36
About Us
The Ministry Center is a Christian based ministry sponsored by Tulsa area churches and managed by South Tulsa Baptist Church.
The Ministry Center began as the Tulsa Baptist Ministry Center during the 1980s. Following a devastating fire in 1998, the center was rebuilt under the volunteer direction of Allan Davis. When the rebuilding was completed in May of 2000, the center was reopened as the Allan Davis Ministry Center. In 2007 the ministry was renamed again to its current name, the Ministry Center.

- Quality clothing to each member of a family
- Staple food items
- Vouchers for prescription medication
- Christian guidance
- Shower facilities for homeless clients
- Social workers on site
Our desire is to make human services available to people who are struggling to be contributing members of society. We strive to meet emergency needs of those struggling without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, or sex. Our intent is not only to help meet basic human needs, but more importantly for others to discover the abundant life through Jesus Christ.
A picture ID is required for each day of service. In addition, proof of dependents is also required, such as Social Security card, insurance cards or school enrollment information (list is not all-inclusive). All clients will receive an intake interview with a volunteer staff member. The intake interview assists in evaluating each client’s unique circumstances.
The Ministry Center partners with Family and Children’s Services.

Jesus Christmas Rooms
Once again Jenks CarePoint and the Ministry Center will provide client families the opportunity to shop free of charge, for Christmas gifts for their preschool and school-age children. Please help us to make Christmas a little merrier for so many in need. The Jesus Christmas Rooms will be open from November 18 – December 19. Unwrapped gifts (see gift ideas below) can be dropped off at South Tulsa Baptist Church anytime under the Christmas tree near the Preschool Welcome Area or in designated bins near the main entry in the Jesus hallway. Thank you for your support of these ministries that serve and show God’s love to our community.
Get Involved
The Ministry Center is the perfect place to adopt for a missions project. For example, preschoolers can collect mittens and gloves, or decorate bags that can be used to distribute groceries. School age children may want to host a drive to bring in outgrown coats and boots for donation. Other groups may choose to collect small toiletry items such as shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and tooth paste. All donations are tax deductible and appreciated.
The need for services at the Ministry Center is high. Please consider hosting a food drive in your neighborhood, school, workplace, or church.
Please prayerfully consider these opportunities for service. If you have any questions, contact Lisa Fuller at lisa@ministry-center.org.
