Where Can I Go to Serve?
Missions is a major part of South Tulsa Baptist Church. Almost all of the ministries of our church have a missions component. When we constructed our new Worship Center, we intentionally placed the Great Commission at one of our corners, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age” Matthew 28:19-20.
Our Missions Committee and Minister of Missions and Mobilization, Karen Pirtle, have a large opportunity to share the many mission activities in which our church family participates and serves. Our Mission Wall located in the Atrium includes pictures of our many Mission Associates, the interactive video display and all of the flags from countries we have made mission trips to. Just this week, we have updated the interactive monitor with a new format and all new videos.
We encourage our church family to go by and learn about the mission activities that we can pray for, support and serve. Our missions leaders and media team have produced two to three minute videos in the areas of Local Missions, International Missions, Refugee Missions, and Caring Missions to encourage you to volunteer, to support, and to serve. In addition to the physical Mission Wall, we have developed a virtual version of the Mission wall on our website for you to view at your convenience http://southtulsa.org/online-mission-wall.
Please take the opportunity to visit our Mission Wall in person or online and use it as a teaching moment with your family to prayerfully consider which of the mission activities you will pray for, support and serve alongside. Contact Karen (email@example.com) for more information about any of the mission ministries or to share where you would like to serve.
