Time

Zack Hudson

I’m enjoying more and more seeing how people are finding ways to spend their time. Some are sharing their favorite Bible verses while others are sharing songs that inspire them. I finished writing a song a few weeks before our world came to a stop and I believe it’s very timely for what we are currently facing.

My Days Are Numbered  by Zack Hudson

Verse:

If the earth should quake and deep foundations shake
It’s just another sign, that my days are numbered
The resurrection and the life, if you believe you will never die
With Him you have new life, your days aren’t numbered.

Chorus:

Come Out, Come Out, He’ll Find You
Come Out, Come Out, He’ll Find You
You don’t have to stay dead anymore
When Jesus Finds You

Verse 2:

If God becomes our strength, we will never be afraid
Whatever comes our way, we have a firm foundation
He brings souls to life and we will live even though we die
so step into the light and leave your past behind

Bridge:

So let the earth shake and the mountains fade away
and we won’t be afraid, because we’re walking with You

This song is a mixture of Psalm 46 and John 11. We have an Old Testament passage that proclaims the protection of God and in the New Testament we see those claims backed up by Jesus rescuing someone from the dead. I know my physical days are numbered but I believe that for me spiritually I’ve already entered into the abundant life that has no end. I find peace and strength even in the midst of the storms that surround me here on earth because of Christ and His promises. I’m praying that even through this great disturbance others will begin to hear Jesus calling them out to life.

Yes, that is a great comfort. It takes it out of our hands and places it straight into God’s hands. Because He is Sovereign, we don’t have to worry or be afraid.
