VBS@HOME | July 20-23, 2020!

This year Vacation Bible School will look a little different – but we are excited about the opportunity to connect kids to Christ! We are offering VBS@Home Packs that will include guides for Bible study, music, missions, crafts, recreation, and snacks, craft supplies, plus other VBS goodies! Tune in to live Worship Rallies at 9:00 a.m. each morning throughout the week and watch the Bible stories and mission videos online too! Invite friends and neighbors to join you or have VBS with just your family! Register online for your family’s VBS@Home Pack! ORDER SOON!

VBS@Home Pack Pick-Up – VBS@Home packs are ready for pick up! If you pre-registered for a pack you can pick it up Sunday morning, July 12 in commons with Ms. Debbie, or on Tuesday, July 14 from 10:00 a.m.-noon at the Welcome Center. If you have any questions about VBS@Home, contact Miss Rebecca or Ms. Debbie! 


Cathy McCourt has been financial manager for almost the entire life of South Tulsa Baptist Church. For over 35 years, she faithfully handled the financial matters of the church. However, beyond the facts and figures, her heart has been in service to the congregation. Cathy loves South Tulsa Baptist Church and her ministry far exceeded the job she performed so well. As she retires to spend more time with her wonderful grandchildren, we would like to collect cards, gift cards, and a love offering to show her our appreciation. Please consider placing a note or gift card in the basket for Cathy at our Welcome Center. If you would like to contribute to the love offering, please make your checks to South Tulsa Baptist and reference Love Offering - Financial Manager. If you give online, please designate your gifts to Love Offering - FM, or text to give to LoveFM. Plan to join us on Sunday, July 26 in our 10:50 a.m. service when will recognize Cathy and her family and express our appreciation. A reception will follow in the Commons.

OBHC Back-to-School Style Show Goes Virtual!
Watch Party and Breakfast | August 8, 9:30 a.m.

Every August, Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (OBHC) hosts Back-to-School Style Shows across the state to create awareness and support for 200+ children as they go back to school. Because of COVID-19 and for the safety of the children, OBHC is moving the Owasso Style Show and the Boys Ranch Town/Oklahoma City Back-to-School Dinner Event online, with many opportunities to see and participate. Even though the event is virtual, the needs are real. All funds raised during the event will provide the yearly clothing and other basic needs for the children at three of four OBHC campuses. Here are ways you can get involved:
Online Auction – Starting at noon, Friday, August 7 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9 at
View Event Online – August 8 at 10:30 a.m.
Television Broadcast – Sunday, August 9, at 5:00 p.m. In Tulsa on CW (Channel 19 – Over the Air, Dish, DirectTV; Channel 7 – U-Verse, COX / COX HD 707).
Watch Party and Breakfast – South Tulsa will host a Watch Party and Breakfast, Saturday, August 8, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. so that we might fellowship and view the Back-to-School Style Show together. Everyone is invited to attend. Cost will be $5 and social distancing will be observed. You may make a reservation(s) by telephoning the church office, or by signing up in the Commons or online HERE before or after Sunday morning worship services. Reservation deadline is Wednesday, August 5.
Paper Doll Project – Clothe the boy and/or girl paper dolls. The Paper Dolls are a visual aid for those interested in helping OBHC “outfit” a child. The goal for South Tulsa is $25,000. Through this project OBHC will be able to purchase school and church clothing and cover the cost of school activities. Any funds raised beyond what is needed to purchase clothing will be used for other basic needs of the residents.
Donations – You may give online or via offering envelope, indicating “Other,” and designating “OBHC, Owasso Campus.” Approximately 25% of the annual budget for the Owasso Campus is funded by the generosity of donors at this annual event.
