Praying for Our Students Attending Falls Creek
I’m a big kid at heart because I still get so excited about Falls Creek! Falls Creek is my holy place. So many memories of camp have cultivated and shaped my life as a believer in Christ and as a minister of the Gospel. God used Falls Creek to be instrumental in drawing me towards a call to ministry when I was a High School student. I have seen so many friends and students come to know Christ as Savior and Lord at camp! So many cherished times with the Lord there! I have never experienced another place where God speaks so clearly.
This year’s theme for camp is FINISH. The verse is in Philippians 1:6, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus.” I love the fact that I am a work in progress. God is not done with me! And even though there are times it seems I should be farther ahead in His work in my life or get trapped into comparing myself with others, I am reminded that God is faithful, and He is still at work in my life.
Church family, I ask you to be prayerful about this coming week and all who will be participating in Falls Creek this year. Whether you have a student or grandchildren attending camp with us or not, would you intercede and pray that God would speak into each life? We want God to move in a big way and remind each person that He is still at work.
God has a plan and purpose for each one of us! I can’t wait to share all the Lord has done this year at camp. Join us on Sunday evening, June 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel for our Falls Creek testimony service and hear what the Lord has done in the lives of our students.
