Music & Missions

Children’s Choir - We have a graded choir program for children in first through sixth grade that rehearse each Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:25 p.m. These choirs work on scripture memory songs and hymns as well as performances for the Christmas and spring programs.

This year's theme, Fruit of the Spirit, is based on Galatians 5:22-23. Through songs and activities, children will experience what it means to grow and live out an authentic, joyful faith. Children will learn to follow the Holy Spirit as they develop godly character and become firmly rooted and grounded in Christ’s love.

“My dear friends, stand firm and don’t be shaken. Always keep busy working for the Lord. You know that everything you do for him is worthwhile” (1 Corinthians 15:58 CEV).

Unshakable is the 2018–2019 theme for Children's Missions. Through this emphasis, boys and girls will apply 1 Corinthians 15:58 to their own lives in their own communities as they learn about having an unshakable faith in God and His promises.

Girls in Action (GA) is a missions discipleship organization for girls in grades 1 through 6. Through GA, girls learn about, pray for, give to, and do missions work. They also make new friends and have lots of fun! Classes meet each Wednesday night from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. during the school year.

Royal Ambassadors (RA) is a missions discipleship organization for boys in grades 1–6. Through hands-on activities that encourage spiritual growth, games and sports, and mentoring relationships with RA leaders, RA members become a faith-based brotherhood. Classes meet each Wednesday night from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. during the school year.

Our RA boys are earning quarters by clearing plates at Wednesday dinners on November 7 and 14th to raise money for the Loads of Love bags. The boys are working on their service badge by making laundry care bags for the Jenks CarePoint to distribute and are working for the quarters to fill those bags. Help them fulfill their mission project.

RA Campfire –  November 10, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. Come join us on the greenbelt behind the church for an evening of old fashioned outdoor fun, campfire, and cookout. Boys must have an adult attend with them. This event is FREE. Please wear warm clothes and bring a lawn chair. RSVP to Lisa Fuller by Wednesday, November 7. We can’t wait to see you there!
