Kim Hayes has served on staff at South Tulsa since 2007, but she has been a member of the church since January of 1994. She has been happily married to her husband, Dwight Hayes since July of 1983. They raised their three children at South Tulsa Baptist Church. Their oldest daughter, Liz lives with her husband, Jordan Jenkins in Broken Arrow and is a school teacher. Their son, Nick is living in Denver and working as a marketing director and their youngest daughter, Carly lives an extremely creative life in New York City.
Since earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Missouri State University, Kim has worked as a graphic designer in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. While in Arkansas she and her partner developed Westend Studio and designed their own magazine, Fort Smith ETC. After moving to Tulsa she focused on maintaining a freelance design business until she accepted a position on staff at Woodlake Assembly of God. In 2007 she was approached to join the staff and felt strongly that God was calling her to serve South Tulsa Baptist Church. Kim believes it is a privilege to use the gifts God has given her for His glory.
In her free time, she enjoys directing the Girls in Action missions classes at church on Wednesday nights. Kim has been involved in teaching or directing GA since her own girls were involved. She prays that missions becomes an important part of the girl’s daily lives and that what they learn at GA will lead to a lifelong commitment to Christ, His mission and His church.
