Congratulations to Our Seniors of 2018
Time seems to be an ever-faster phenomenon as we realize another school-year has passed and another group of students is graduating from High School! Today is Senior Recognition Sunday at South Tulsa Baptist Church! This is by far one of South Tulsa’s largest groups of seniors to graduate from our Student Ministry – and what a talented group they represent!
Within our senior class you will find a National Merit Scholar. We have a President and Vice-Presidents of their High School’s Student Council, and several who are State Champions for both baseball and tennis. We have one who was accepted into all three military academies – West Point, U.S. Air Force Academy and U.S. Naval Academy!
This group of students has pushed themselves toward academic excellence. They have been active leaders both within our church and in our community! Of this year’s Belize Mission Team, 13 of our 20 students were part of the senior class! I have never witnessed a group of students who have better portrayed 1 Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
It’s is always my prayer for each of you as you graduate, to not forget all the lessons you have learned throughout your childhood and teenage years! Continue to walk with the Lord on a daily basis and continue to be sensitive to His leading in your life. Always know that you have your church family who will continue to be praying for you!
We look forward with great anticipation knowing that the Lord will do great things in each one of your lives! You have already accomplished so much, and you are just beginning! Today, we say, “Well done and congratulations for achieving this milestone in your life. May God continue to bless you in the days ahead!”
