Bridge Builders

Phil Dark

You may be asking, “who are the Bridge Builders?” That is the new title that includes the senior adults who are in our church family. Bridge Builders is a name that does not describe the age of the people who participate in the organization, it includes mature adults of any age who want to be active in the group. Bridge Builders is a name that describes people who want to build bridges of love and kindness to hurting or lonely people in order to attract them to faith in Christ and to the church family. We want to build a Bridge Builders program of activities, parties, and ministries that will benefit our church family. We recently appointed a Bridge Builders Council who will meet and design a program for the Bridge Builders and other folks in our church family. This Bridge Builders Council includes the following people: Jerry Zumwalt, Pat Bennett, Judy White, Connie Faurot, Larry Lancaster, James Nance, Sherry Remy, Betty Dark, Jack Selby, Jim Greenway, Evelyn Hull, Carole Neel.

The Bridge Builders Council has already had a meeting. They have begun to consider programs, activities and ministries to include in the Bridge Builders program. If anyone has suggestions of possible activities, parties, or ministries for the council to consider, please contact them.

We will continue to have the Bridge Builders Luncheon on the first Tuesday of each month. It has been an overwhelming success with great Gospel music presented by Sherry Remy playing the piano, and Philip Stephens leading the singing. A tremendous gospel message is also presented.

I have GREAT EXPECTATIONS for the continued success of our Bridge Builders program! So, pray, suggest and attend. Pray for the Bridge Builders Council! Suggest programs to the Bridge Builders Council! Attend the Bridge Builders Luncheon the first Tuesday of each month. Our next luncheon is on Tuesday, November 5!

I’m delighted to serve you as Minister to Senior Adults and Pastoral Care.
