A Season for Sharing

Debbie Steen

For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven... spring has bloomed. Summer is marching forward. School will soon be over and vacations enjoyed. There are many opportunities to invite neighbors and acquaintances to South Tulsa Baptist Church. Make plans to come and bring others.

Seniors of 2019 are recognized Sunday, May 19. We will honor and pray for them. That evening, a special time to reminisce with families and a reception is scheduled.

Our awesome Student Choir leaves for Memphis on May 28 to sing and serve. They will bless us on Sunday evening, June 2. We have some of the most faithful, talented young people in our community, sharing the love of Jesus through music and drama.

SUMMER GATHERING arrives Sunday, June 9, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on the west property. Awnings for shade, tables and chairs are available. Fried chicken will be provided. Bring a side dish to share, plus folding chairs or blankets. Enjoy games, sand volleyball, bubbles, chalk, sack races, croquet and more. Josh’s Snow Cones and a balloon twister will top it off.

Without further ado...SMAK and PreSMAK make their appearance the week of June 10-14. Children who have completed 1st-6th grade, don’t want to miss learning The Amazing Grace Race, In His Steps…In My Shoes. Preschoolers, three (September 1, 2018) through kindergarten will take part in The Truth Trail!

The students go to Falls Creek June 17-21. Pray for them! They’re also very involved in SMAK and VBS. We couldn’t do it without them.

The grand finale for June is Vacation Bible School, June 24-27. The theme is In The Wild, Amazing Encounters with Jesus. Children that have completed kindergarten–sixth grade will want to be a part of the encounters. Join us! You will be blessed.

Our summer events are great times to share with others what we at South Tulsa are all about. WE ARE SHARING THE GOOD NEWS.
